The new JR’S Taters are truly a “Blast From The Past”! The iconic Tasty Taters began production in 1931 in the Flag City – Findlay, Ohio. Owners changed throughout the years but unfortunately, in 1978, a horrific fire swept through the plant which caused an early retirement for this legendary chip. My name is Jim Roby. Growing up in Findlay, I enjoyed all the Findlay favorites such as Wilson’s hamburgers, Jac & Do’s Pizza, Dietsch Brother’s famous milkshakes and of coarse Tasty Taters Potato Chips. It has always been my dream to reincarnate the unique flavor of this cherished chip and bring it back to my hometown. For years, I traveled the country searching for the perfect replacement. In March of 2019, JR’S Taters hit the shelves!!
A new excitement in the potato chip industry had just entered the marketplace, not only in Findlay, Ohio but across the country as well.
